Jendayi Brooks-Flemister
a writer of the weird

bio
Hi, I’m Jendayi (she/they), and I’m a science fiction author from the Southeast U.S., though I currently live in Portland, OR. I’m a coffee lover, artist, video and board gamer, and all around awkward, loving person. Pleasure to meet ya.
Science fiction to me is the realm of endless possibilities. My works unapologetically focus on centering BIPOC and LGBTQ+ voices and perspectives because that is who I unapologetically am. I love to play with the weird, with the odd, with the tragic.
If my writing can make just one person feel seen and understood, then maybe I’m doing something right.
